I've only been working in an office for little over a year, but when I first started and they said it was "Smart Casual" dresscode but then "Casual Fridays", I was looking forward to not having to wear uniform all the time. That was until it came to my first casual Friday! I was completely stumped on what to wear. I didn't want to go too casual because I figured they would think I was turning up to not do any work. Casual Fridays is about balance. Casual enough to feel comfortable and not too dressy for it to feel like a normal working day, but its certainly not about rocking up to work in joggers!
Today I'm going to share with you some ideas for Casual Fridays during Autumn/Winter. They're comfy outfits, that don't include joggers or even leggings!
Note: please don't ever wear leggings to work.
Outfit #1: Simply Does It
I love this outfit, purely for its simplicity. It means you can jazz it up with any accessories you like and it will match. I'm also loving these Adidas Superstar trainers because they're so comfy and are easy to clean if someone happens to trod of your toe when checking out the cake/biscuits in the staff room.
I'd pair this either a blanket scarf or a lightweight leopard print scarf (depending on how cold it is out there or how high the AC is cranked up!)
Outfit #2: Neutral & Cosy
Cardigans are an absolute MUST during Autumn/Winter, and grey ones like the one above is perfect because it matches just about any outfit and it's so easy to just throw on for that comfy feel. Chinos are great to wear to work, either for smart wear, or casual, because you can dress them up by pairing them with heels, or go for the casual look as above by swapping the heels for some sneakers.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love wearing stripes too so a striped tee was obviously going to make an appearance in this list!
Outfit #3: Dreaming of Spring
Oh look! Another striped top. Sorry, not sorry.
Whenever I see or wear a denim jacket I always feel like Spring is on the horizon, and Spring is my favourite time of year. This outfit is probably one to save for the days that are not absolutely freezing, but for when the sun is shining and the air is crisp (a scarf would be a good option with this outfit).
