I’m writing this a day late but yesterday was such a long BUT AMAZING day so I’ve left it until now to share with you. So as you may be able to tell from the title of the post, I’ve graduated! Woohoo!! I’m officially a Swansea University School of Management Graduate. And it honestly wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for the two people who I got to spend the day with, Mother Rees & Daddio – my parents! I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for me over the last four years, even though I didn’t get to see them very often!
I didn’t have the best start to my time at Swansea University because I actually failed my first year but I learned from my mistakes, stuck with it and now I’m proud to say that I’ve got a first class honours.
That’s why something that Chris Coleman (the Wales football manager) said following the Wales V Belgium game really struck a chord with me; he said “If you work hard enough and you’re not afraid to dream and you’re not afraid to fail. Everybody fails. Don’t be afraid to fail” – and I used to HATE the fact that I had failed my first year because everyone said that it’s the easiest year, but now I’m not ashamed of it. Because I learned from that horrible experience and worked my backside off to achieve my first.
So that’s what made this day even more special, so here’s a few snaps of the day!
